About Bogra(Bogura)
Bogura, formerly called Bogra, is major commercial hub and the largest city in Rajshahi division. It is considered as the capital of North Bengal. It was named after the governor of Bengal, Nasiruddin Bughra Khan. According to ancient history, Ashoka founded Bogura and named it Pundra Bardhan. Freedom fighter and former President of Bangladesh, Ziaur Rahman was born in Bogura. The place is really popular for tasty Doi (Yogurt).
